When entering these competitions there are several tips which could come in handy for you. You need to ensure that the competitions which you wish to join have an excellent range of prizes. If a competition has more than 10 prizes to be given, then there is a greater chance that you will succeed.

While some competitions may not be exclusive, there are those which require people who are of a particular age group, culture, or occupation to join them. The latter are better provided one has all the necessary competitions because one stands a better chance to win the competition.

Short story competitions just like other writing competitions require people to pay an entrance fee. One needs to ensure that the entrance fee is affordable and within his budget. The entrance fee should be reasonable and one that you can easily gamble with so long as the price money is worth it.
